Yesterday’s lily drawing is complete. Onto drawing a bird of paradise flower.

This is probably the first time I have drawn the entire flower using draft lines only. Without inking any lines along the way.

When I started this session, I actually wasn’t feeling very confident in drawing. Just a random feeling and thought. And for the first few lines I considered switching to drawing another flower. Something less intimidating.

But I decided against that by telling myself that if this drawing didn’t work out today, then it would be just practise and I can do it again another time.

So I continued. Uncertain about each line I drew.

With the bird of paradise flower complete. I actually really like it. And reflecting back on it, it was pretty straight forward to draw.
