For a long time now, I have been obsessing over combining different shades of blue, green and pink into a painting. I’ve told myself that I need to explore other colours, but last weekend I treated myself to using these colours together again. How can you deny phthalo blue, teal and magenta together on canvas?

These two paintings were made using acrylic paints. The paints are a mixture of Mont Marte Dimension Acrylic paints, Jo Sonja’s Acrylic paints, and Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium. Always some flow medium.

If you’ve never heard of Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium, then I suggest you read the blog post I’ve written here. If you find acrylic paint hard to manipulate on the canvas, then you should go see what it’s all about.

Credit to me, I did try not using flow medium, but it didn’t last very long. The white paint is the only colour that doesn’t have any of the Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium added to it, and you can see how much white paint there is in these two paintings…

Oh and texture?! Did I mention I love texture?

Until next time.

The world: ignites in me, a sense of curiosity. My mind does not settle until it can comprehend, until it understands. For the physical world, creation has always been my enduring method of choice. For the spiritual world, all-encompassing practices like yoga and meditation, a belief in a higher energy, and writing have always been the soothing and balancing tools I have returned to, to re-ground myself. This is my journey of self-expression. Through written words and different forms of art. To my soul, my inner essence.
