Create Organic Shapes With Acrylic High Flow (Fluid) Paint

I love exploring paint fluidity and using it to create abstract art. I see it as a way for the acrylic paint to exhibit a ‘natural’ characteristic or a phenomenon. With fluid paint types and brands, or with paint with acrylic medium added to increase its flow, the paint is free to do what it wants (to a certain extent) and can guide the painter (in this case, me) rather than me guiding and pushing the paint on the canvas.

Create Geometric Shapes For Abstract Art

I also love geometry, geometrical shapes, symmetry, straight edges, etc. you get my drift. This probably stems from the fact that I always loved math through school and uni and was lucky enough to be quite good at it too, so I think I will always carry this passion around.

I created the geometric shapes, simply by marking out areas with masking tape. For the masking tape, I used a trade grade painters tape.

These two abstract art pieces were also featured in my August Makes blog post series, so if you are interested in the other art I created for August Makes, then you can find Part 1 of the series here, and Part 2, which these two art pieces were featured in, here.
Have a lovely day.

The world: ignites in me, a sense of curiosity. My mind does not settle until it can comprehend, until it understands. For the physical world, creation has always been my enduring method of choice. For the spiritual world, all-encompassing practices like yoga and meditation, a belief in a higher energy, and writing have always been the soothing and balancing tools I have returned to, to re-ground myself. This is my journey of self-expression. Through written words and different forms of art. To my soul, my inner essence.
