This is an abstract painting that I’m currently working on. As we speak, the third layer of oil paint is drying.

I haven’t decided yet what direction I want to take the next layer, but I do know that there will be another layer of oil paint on this. I wanted to share some photos of the painting at the moment before the next layer is painted.

As you can see there has been no holding back on color here. It has plenty of citrus (yellow), lime (green), magenta (pink), blue, white and of course turquoise. I think turquoise has got to be my paint color I use the most lately in my work. And magenta, definitely magenta too.

I love creating such colourful art. It’s just such a happy process.

The world: ignites in me, a sense of curiosity. My mind does not settle until it can comprehend, until it understands. For the physical world, creation has always been my enduring method of choice. For the spiritual world, all-encompassing practices like yoga and meditation, a belief in a higher energy, and writing have always been the soothing and balancing tools I have returned to, to re-ground myself. This is my journey of self-expression. Through written words and different forms of art. To my soul, my inner essence.
