Journal entry for day 1 of 100 days of abstract painting following #the100dayproject. Using Flora Bowley’s Intuitive Painting creativebug class as guidance, today was all about gathering inspiring imagery to develop a concept for the abstract art painting process.

I love how it looks at the moment and I’m hesitant to add to it, just in case I ruin it. Yes, this is the reality of what goes on in an artist’s mind… not super fancy at all is it?

Yes, that time has come when I have gone mad and decided to experiment with a soft and muted colour palette. I’ve resisted the temptation to use my favourite colours of phthalo blue, torquoise and magenta, and gone ahead and tried to keep it very soft and blended. There’s no need to worry.
