To me, a flower is more powerful, if its beauty speaks for itself.
I also prefer flowers that still look like they come from nature, and maintain an element of realism to them.
It’s kind of like that situation with makeup. Do you want a natural makeup look? Or do you want one that looks like you’ve caked it on?! So it’s kind of like that.
Today, I want to share with you, a florist in Adelaide that shares my views on flowers.
Ponder Posy is an Adelaide-based florist. It’s run by the talented flower and foliage artisan, Rebecca Trevitt.
Ponder Posy describes its selection of flowers, and how she celebrates their beauty as:
crooked stems that don’t fit in a vase,
broken leaves that let the sunshine through and
hand spun wildness for special events,
botanical installations and heart-filled posies.
Pretty neat ha?! Yep, these are definitely my kind of flowers!
I discovered Ponder Posy a few weekends ago, at a coffee shop called Local Crowd Cafe, located in the suburbs (Colonel Light Gardens) of Adelaide. A stunning suburb by the way (so much greenery)! All the coffee tables at Local Crowd Cafe were decorated with small vases of Ponder Posy arrangements. Of course, I made sure I took lots of photos, and those are what I wanted to share with you today.

I am so keen to visit Adelaide one day and those glowers are so lovely! They really set the mood. Great photos Charlie 🙂
Thanks Monique! The flowers were just so pretty, without overwhelming the tables. Thank you for your kind words about the photos – I think I’m developing a major love for photography.
