So, you’ve read the post – How To be Creative Without Being Artistic, and you are feeling a little liberated. You feel like you are ready to put it into action. Below is a list of things to keep in mind to help you be more creative:

Be Open to Receiving The Universe

Have an intent and purpose but don’t follow it and insist on it blindly.

Be In Tune With Yourself and Your Life

Moments by Charlie | Creative Lifestyle Blog

We are all unique. We have all walked a different path to get to the stage we are at in our lives. Different actions. Emotions. Thoughts. All these elements combined contribute to even more diversity. It’s what leads us to become different from those who we’ve spent most of our lives around like family. Let yourself be you. Utilise what makes you different and unique.

Tame Your Fear

Moments by Charlie | Creative Lifestyle Blog

You will no doubt clench up if you attempt to do something entirely new. Or something even slightly different than what you are used to. Recognise these as fears rather than actual shortages in yourself. Recognise them as thoughts your defence system has conjured up, rather than a reflection of your true potential.

[/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”]

Ignore Your Inner Critic

Moments by Charlie | Creative Lifestyle Blog

If you’ve passed the initial fear attempt, you will no doubt be aware that the failed attempt of fear will now manifest into critical self-talk. It will try to deter you from what you have been so brave to start. Ignore it. These are just final futile attempts to stop you because it couldn’t scare you enough the first time. Be strong and keep going.

[/fusion_builder_column][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”]

These are the things I try to do to maintain a better sense of inner balance and harmony. Because it’s really hard to be creative or effective if you are making your life harder for yourself. The art piece in the post – Coloured Edge – Geometric Art, is something I painted whilst keeping these concepts in mind.
