Abstract Art

This abstract art piece was created using the paint pouring technique achieved with flow aid paint mediums.
It was created using the Jo Sonja’s Acrylic Paints and Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium. It is an alternative to the commonly used Liquitex Flow Aid Medium and the Golden GAC 100.

Pouring Technique Mediums

There is a range of painting mediums out there that can be used to blend and flow paint together. However, at the moment the following list is what seems to be trending on YouTube.

  • Jo Sonja’s Flow Medium
  • Liquitex Flow Aid Medium
  • Golden GAC 100

If you can spare the time you should check out some YouTube videos and see some of the amazing results people achieve.

However, be warned that it can take awhile to get used to the paints and the flow medium you are working with. So perhaps at first, you may not achieve what you expect. But keep trying. And look out for any common reactions happening with your paint and flow medium of choice. Developing a mental cheat sheet will go a long way to improving your results!

Have you tried using the acrylic pouring technique? What has been your experience?
